In Sweden they have their own currency, so if I travel to Sweden, I have to change my euros to crowns. As the exchange rate is today, beer in Sweden costs about the same as in Finland. In Norway beer costs even more.

Why? Is alcohol or beer, in particular, heavily taxed?

It certainly does not cost that much to make.
