Height matters because their height in comparison to you will affect the centre of gravity in the situation.
If you were 5"2 and 170lbs, you would be harder to lift than if you were 5"8 and 170lbs. This is definitely applicable any shoulder carry, and probably a few of the others, although it depends on the height difference between the lifter and the liftee. The shorter girl should fare better in a fireman carry situation, in theory. This is only in theory though. That's where the thread comes in, your experiences might dump all over it.

In my experience, it all depends on their "trunk". Girls with wider trunks/thick core areas can support more weight. Height has never really made difference 4 my lifts.
