I store mine in a Google Drive on a separate e-mail.

I use Veracrypt for encyprtion. I have 2 encrypted drives using one as a backup of the other.

I have a fear of getting killed while out riding my bike only to have someone uncover them on my PC a few weeks later. I also setup an Ubuntu server running VirtualBOX. VirtualBOX runs a window's guest OS where I access them via remote desktop. I never have them stored on my physical PC.
